Positive Discipline Study
by Stephanie Tam Rosas
October 7, 2013
A study on the effectiveness of Positive Discipline is currently underway and we need MORE participants. If you or someone you know is insterested in being interviewed about your experience with Positive Discipline, please contact Stephanie at 831-920-3835
Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson didn't set out to explain why Positive Discipline (PD) is so effective, but that is ultimately the result of their book “The Whole-Brian Child”. Many of PD’s core concepts and approaches have worked with families already, but the science behind them gets further explained in how they ultimately promote brain integration.
Who's conducting the study:
Danielle Kohfeldt (a doctoral candidate at UCSC)
Ellen Shrouf (a psychologist and member of the PD Association)
Stephanie Tam Rosas (a PDCR Board member and facilitator)
What it's about:
We are conducting a study on the effectiveness of Positive Discipline classes by interviewing parents who have already taken a Positive Discipline class. We are looking for anyone who might be interested in being interviewed for approximately 60 - 90 minutes about their experience with the Positive Discipline class they took and their use of Positive Discipline since.
What we need:
We're looking for parents of varying backgrounds and ethnicity who have already completed a Positive Discipline class (or classes).
If you are interested or have questions, please feel free to contact
Stephanie at email@example.com or 831-920-3835.
